Brynlee's First Christmas

This was Brynlee's first Christmas and she got a lot of presents. This picture is her with her very first Christmas present! It was a really cute outfit from her aunt Christi. She also got a cute picture made by Christi, a tummy mat from mom and dad, a beautiful dress from Grandma and Grandpa Hubbard, Baby monitors so that mom can sleep in her own bed, a clothes hamper, and lots of other stuff.
She was 3 weeks old when I took this picture. I found her sound asleep like this. She likes to pose when she sleeps....it is so funny.
Aunt Gillaire bought her a Santa outfit for Christmas. I call this picture "Gangster Santa" because she looks like she is trying to be tough...Shane says she looks like the Grinch.
Doesn't she look like she's saying "What's Up?!?"
She was not too impressed when I put the hat on.
She was being a goof in this one.

I love this one....it looks like she's playing peekaboo
She got to meet Great Grandma Payne (Shane's Grandma) for the first time. We need to get Shane over there so that we can get a 4 generation photo.

Brynlee Shae Hubbard

Brynlee Shae Hubbard joined our family on December 1, 2009 at 9:20 pm. We went to the hospital to have my labor induced early that morning, but she wouldn't go into the birth canal. After 12 hours of labor with no progress, the doctor decided to do a c-section. Lucky too....Brynlee was 9 lbs. 1 oz.! She has tons of dark brown hair and dark blue eyes.

Shane gave me some flowers with really pretty lillies, roses, carnations, and several other types of flowers. My in-laws gave me three red roses. They all were so pretty and smelled great!

We got to bring her home on Friday, Dec. 4th. Her billirubin level was elevated and so we had to have it tested several times. Luckily it is coming down to normal levels and she no longer has to have her little feet picked on.

Oregon Coast Vacation 2009

Shane in front of the roots of a huge redwood tree that fell over. This is just the roots!!!

The Yaquina Head Lighthouse.

Me standing on the beach....First time ever seeing the ocean.

A cool bridge heading into Yaquina Bay in Newport, Oregon. This bay leads straight into the Pacific Ocean.
*******************************************************

Shane and I went on vacation to the Oregon Coast.....Newport, Oregon to be exact. We decided to go there because neither one of us had ever seen the ocean and thought it would be less crowded. It was awesome! There was a lot of things to do there. We went on a whale watching cruise, went to the Sea Lion Caves, rode up and down the Oregon Coast, and visited the Redwood Forest to name a few. Our hotel was just a few minutes from the Pacific Ocean.

We also went to Oregon Coast Aquarium and saw tons of fish and sharks. It was a ton of fun and we hope to go back again someday.

Update

This last few weeks have been very busy and exciting for us. In April, we found out that we will soon be adding to our family. Our first baby is due 12/5/09! We don't know what it is yet, but we are very excited. The second picture is a picture of the first ultrasound.

I also graduated from ISU!!!! Finally!!!! The first picture is of me and Shane at my graduation. We have funny looks on our faces because we were looking at 3 or 4 cameras and didn't know when they were going to take the picture.
